Best Crypto Debit Cards Compared for Spending Bitcoin and Stablecoins
Spending cryptocurrency at the point of sale used to mean converting to fiat first. Crypto debit cards remove that friction. They let you load Bitcoin, Ethereum, or stablecoins and spend anywhere that accepts Visa or Mastercard. Three cards dominate the conversation: Crypto.com, Binance, and Coinbase. Each takes a different approach to fees, rewards, and staking. The best choice depends entirely on what you value.
Crypto.com Visa Card
Crypto.com offers several tiers. The lowest tier requires no staking and you get 1% cashback on purchases. Higher tiers demand a stake of CRO, the platform’s token, ranging from roughly $400 to $400,000 equivalent; cashback scales with the stake, reaching 5% at the top tier.
There are catches. The cashback is paid in CRO, not fiat or Bitcoin. CRO is volatile. You may also face a 180-day staking lock-up for higher tiers, and if CRO drops during that period, your effective rewards shrink. Monthly cashback caps apply based on your tier.
Fees include a 0.5% top-up fee for fiat loading via credit card. ATM withdrawals are free up to a limit per month, then 2% after that. Regional availability is good: Crypto.com supports most of Europe, the UK, Canada, Australia, and parts of Asia, though the US is limited to certain states.
Binance Card
The Binance Visa Card functions similarly. Cashback starts at 0.1% with no BNB stake and rises to 8% if you hold and stake 600 BNB. That is a significant capital commitment. Rewards are paid in BNB.
The fee structure is cleaner. There is no monthly card fee at most tiers. Top-up via Binance wallet is free. ATM withdrawal is free up to 200 EUR per month, then 1% after that. Foreign transaction fees are 0.9%.
Geographic reach is narrower than Crypto.com. The Binance Card is available in the European Economic Area, but not in the United States. You must also pass Binance’s Know Your Customer verification, which is straightforward but blocks access for anonymous spending.
Coinbase Card
Coinbase takes a different route. They do not require staking for cashback. You earn 4% back in XLM or 1% in Bitcoin, chosen at the point of sale, and no token lock-up means you can adjust your strategy anytime. This suits people who dislike staking risk.
Fees are lower in some areas and higher in others. There is no monthly or annual fee. The conversion spread when spending a non-USD crypto can be 1-2%. ATM fees are $2.50 per withdrawal in the US, plus 2.5% foreign transaction fee on international transactions.
Availability is broad. Coinbase Card is issued in the US (excluding Hawaii and Nevada), the UK, and most of Europe. It is a true debit card that draws directly from your Coinbase wallet; you do not need to pre-load a separate balance.
Wirex and Bybit for Specific Use Cases
Wirex stands out for travel. Their multi-currency wallet supports 150+ fiat currencies and the card has no spending limits on certain plans. Cashback is paid in WXT and capped at 2%. You can also earn interest on idle balances. Regional availability covers the UK, EEA, and parts of Asia-Pacific.
Bybit’s card targets traders already on their exchange. It has a 10% cashback rate in the first month, then drops to 2% or less. The catch: cashback is paid in USDT and requires a minimum spend. Geographic reach is limited to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and select European countries; it is not available in the US or UK.
What matters for your choice
Cashback is the headline number, but look at how it is paid and whether you can easily spend it. CRO or BNB rewards require you to hold or swap tokens. That adds tax events and price risk. Coinbase’s XLM or BTC rewards are more liquid.
Staking lock-ups bind your capital. A six-month lock on CRO means you cannot sell even if the market turns. If you need flexibility, the Coinbase or lower-tier Crypto.com cards avoid this.
Fees add up. Foreign transaction fees hit frequent travelers. ATM fees matter for cash users. Compare these against your spending patterns.
Regional availability is the final filter. A card that does not ship to your country is useless. Verify before applying.
No card is objectively best. The one that fits your spending, risk tolerance, and location is the one worth getting.
